Yesterday we put Abigail in the wagon for the first time. She hasn't been able to get in it because she wasn't sitting up. She has been practicing lately so we thought we would try it out. She sat in it a lot better than I thought she would. I can't believe how fast they grow up. People always say that, but it really does happen overnight. I can't wait to start taking her and Kaden out for walks in it. They are going to have so much fun! Plus I'll get to get out of the house!

What a cute little boy
I put Abigail's OU hat on her the other day and it was obviously too big, so I turned it sideways. It was so cute I had to get a picture of it. She looks like a little boy, but it's adorable. She's going to grow up to be a major OU fan just like her daddy and grandpa. Hopefully not too crazy though!

What a chunk!
We went to the doctor this morning for Abigail's 4 month check up and shots. She weighs 16 lbs 2 oz!!! I guessed 15. I had no idea she would be that big! She's 24 1/2 inches long and looks like she is doing great. We were told not to eat cereal through the feeder anymore and to start eating foods several times a day. We'll see how that goes. It will probably take her awhile to get used to it because she really likes that bottle. She also got her shots. 5 pokes! She cried pretty hard, but only for a second. She was fine and smiling again before we ever left the doctor. What a big girl!

Good Luck!
Abigail's dad is being deployed this Tuesday to Baghdad for about a year. He has a very important job to guard the General while he is over there. He's been very busy with training since she's been born and has missed a lot because of it. I know it's been really hard for him and it's only going to get harder. That is part of the reason I started this blog so he could look in on what's happening as often as he can. Kind of an online photo album with stories. He'll be gone about a year so it will be my job to try to explain to Abigail who her daddy is as best I can. She'll be about 1 year old when he returns. When you guys read this, or think about it, please say a pray that he returns home safely.

Abigail learns to eat!
I mentioned earlier that Abigail just started learning to eat with a spoon. It's taken some practice because she just quite doesn't understand. And we have to do that when she's not starving because she has absolutely no patients at all once she's hungry, so there's no chance in 'practicing' anything at that point. She means business and just wants to eat!! We took a couple of pictures of the first time we put her in a high chair to eat. She's getting much better at it. A little at a time and we'll eventually get there. Maybe she'll like it better once she gets to eat some food with a little flavor. If you've ever tasted baby cereal it's the blandest mush. Doesn't have much taste to me. I wouldn't want to eat it either.
She's not quite sure what to think yet.....
Maybe she's enjoying it a little bit....
Looks like she's about over it now!

My First Blog
I've been noticing a lot of people with blogs lately so I thought I'd start one of my own for friends and family to view new things that are going on with Abigail and I. She just turned 4 months old, rolled over for the first time, started laughing out loud and is eating cereal with a spoon. A lot of changes are going on and I am having the time of my life watching her grow everyday. I'm also lucky enough to be with my nephew Kaden everyday too. They are the most precious gifts that God could have ever brought into our lives. So...I guess this is enough for the first post. I'm still figuring this whole thing out. More to come.....
This is one of the many pictures we took during Christmas. She was 3 months old.
